Updated: Mar 21, 2021

Exercising can help improve your wellbeing and increase your mood; however, there are many other benefits to increasing our activity.

Benefits:

  1. Reduces body fat & risks for certain chronic illnesses (e.x diabetes, heart problems, & more)

  2. Strengthens our muscles, our heart, & bones

  3. Improves mood, mobility, memory, sleep quality & complexion

  4. Decreases stress, anxiety, & boots our immune system

  5. Exercising has many positive short-term & long-term effects on our bodies.

Now you may be asking yourself- how can you start? Well here is a quick list of everything you will need.

  1. Water bottle

  2. Fitness clothing

  3. Either a gym membership or a laptop/phone

  4. Music on any device

  5. Energy

If you do not have a gym membership, I have attached an amazing Youtubers who have helped me in my own journey. These workouts are for everyone.

Once warmer weather approaches I encourage you to go outside for walks, runs, or bike walks. Please do this safely to ensure not to injure yourself.

Remember change starts with just taking a small step. Start easy and push yourself at your own pace.

I challenge you to workout 30-60 minutes a day and see how great you will feel. According to the CDC (2021), Children and adolescents ages 6 through 17 years should do 60 minutes (1 hour) or more of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity daily. You got this. Remember some form of activity can really help improve your mood which something we all need especially during these times.
